![]() ![]() I know there’s always a lot of interest in what Retro Studios are doing next, but I think most people accept that they’re not the company they used to be and there’s not really any point hoping for them to do Metroid Prime again or anything similar to it. I’m not going out on a limb here, I guess you could say, but what does everyone else think? There’s also the rumours this week about Nintendo having new peripherals, which I wouldn’t be surprised to find out was something like Wii Fit. I don’t see how there’s any way there can be new consoles, but I wouldn’t bet against Microsoft showing a VR headset or something similar. Hopefully it’ll be on top of, and not instead of, the story games but there’s no way they’ve seen the trend and decided to just ignore it. I think we’re bound to see them switch focus from single-player only games to at least one major games as a service game. Sony are harder to predict though as they’ve got so far ahead of themselves now it’s almost as if they’ve got a backlog of games they haven’t really shown much of or are still not out yet. Nintendo still has Metroid Prime 4 and their Fire Emblem game to reveal, and I’d expect something else secret as well. ![]() There’s got to be Halo 6 for Microsoft, and those Fable reboot rumours sounded pretty believable. So I’ve been thinking about what games might be coming up at E3 this year and I think there are some pretty obvious guesses. ![]()
